Turkish authorities detained Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu on charges including corruption and aiding a terrorist group. Imamoglu’s Republican People’s Party was poised to name him its challenger to President Tayyip Erdogan, who has run Turkey for more than two decades.
