‘I’ve had my eye on a Shark fan and Prime Day deal is hard to resist’
I’ve been keeping an eye on this Shark fan for some time. It’s become one of those items – the kind where you glance at something once and then it seems to be constantly appearing in your social media, calling your name and tempting you to buy it.
The Shark FlexBreeze TableMate has been on offer at £99.99 for a while, which has already piqued my interest. But now even more has been taken off the price as Amazon launches its Prime Day Deals, reducing it by another £10, leaving it at a very appealing £89.99 – 40% off the £149.99 RRP. Currently even cheaper than buying directly from Shark where the fan is on sale for £99.99, it’s such a fantastic deal that I’ve finally taken the plunge and ordered it.
Better still, the Amazon Prime Deal Days price is significantly cheaper than Currys where it’s still on sale for full price at £149.99.
I’m one of those individuals who’s always too warm at the best of times. Where others are reaching for the thermostat I’m normally just right, and, as such, I adore a good fan, especially during summer.
As reported on the Mirror, I already own two fans that I rate very highly. One is the Challenge White Pedestal and Desk Fan (£70 at Argos), that’s super impressive when you crank it up. So much so I’ve used it in some capacity almost every night since I’ve purchased it.
The fan may not be as pricey as some top-tier models, but it certainly delivers a powerful chill factor. For those with deeper pockets, I’ve also tested the Midea SmartAir Cool and Purify Bladeless Fan that’s £199.99 at HighStreetTV.
It boasts an array of impressive features, and has been touted as a fan that “does it all” – a claim that’s tough to contest. However, what these two lack is a battery function.
As someone who spends plenty of time outdoors I often find myself baking in the recent scorching temperatures, yet reluctant to fuss over dragging out an extension cable to power up a fan.
Enter the Shark FlexBreeze TableMate – a game-changer in portability. It’s designed to be easily unplugged and operated on battery power, perfect for those in need of a mobile gust of cool air. Shark claims the fan can operate for a staggering 24 hours on battery alone, albeit at its lowest speed setting.
Cranked up, the fan promises coverage “up to 20 meters”, and it’s built to withstand UV rays and rain, making it a robust choice for outdoor use. Additional perks include five fan speeds, a sweeping 180-degree oscillation feature, and a 55° tilt capability to direct airflow precisely where it’s needed.
The fan has received an average rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 from buyers who’ve purchased it so far. One thrilled reviewer exclaimed: “This is by far the best fan I have ever had! We have a heatwave right now and I normally can’t sleep, but not this year! Slept all the way through and didn’t hear the fan yet I was cool all night. Only wish I’d found this sooner.”
However, one of the less positive reviews pointed out a potential problem: “When using this fan as a plug in it’s brilliant and I’m very happy with it in every way, but when using it on battery which is fully charged and on 2nd lowest setting the battery doesn’t last long.”
Despite this, another buyer was extremely satisfied: “I did consider another leading brand but decided on Shark. This for me has been a really good choice. This fan is fairly expensive but the build quality is plain to see and it works really well.
“It is so versatile being able to run on mains and battery I can take it anywhere, it even has a remote control. I would recommend this fan to anyone even my friends.”
