Judd Trump shows off where he’s staying now after being made ‘homeless’ | Other | Sport
Snooker ace Judd Trump may have been left without a permanent address but the world No. 1 is by no means hard up for a place to stay. ‘The Ace In The Pack’ has given a behind-the-scenes look at his current living conditions and it’s enough to make the rest of us weep with envy.
Trump, 36, has been displaced from his Dubai residence after the recent relations in the Middle East. Iran’s retaliatory strikes against the United States and Israel have forced many people to evacuate their homes, with the former world champion among them. However, Trump appears to be making the most of a bad situation after retiring to Bangkok for the time being. It’s not clear if his current quarters belong to him or are merely a temporary solution but one thing that is evident is he’s not struggling in the accommodation stakes. That’s after he took to his Instagram story and gave his 316,000 followers a glimpse of his new pad. And it suggests his preparations ahead of next week’s Tour Championship will be just fine.
Trump, who moved to Dubai last year, took a brief walk through what appeared to be a penthouse apartment in the Thai capital. The palatial suite is decked from floor to ceiling in marble and features a balcony boasting a skyline view of the city.
Adorning one wall in the property is a jumbo-size television to keep Trump, who is believed to be worth around £10million, up to date with the latest snooker developments. And there was an entire wing of the property that was left unexplored.
The balcony also featured loungers and sofas, enough seating space in all to host a party of six or seven. And in the background, what appeared to be a hot tub matching the all-white aesthetic can also be seen.
“I had to leave [Dubai] so we went to Bangkok. It’s a bit up in the air at the moment,” said Trump after it emerged he’d been forced to leave Dubai. “I don’t really think I can go back, just in case I get stuck there. Just kind of looking for somewhere else to live.”
He continued: “Just trying to make the best of a bad situation. It’s just difficult at the moment because you don’t know where I’m going to be living.”
Seven-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan also moved to Dubai last year and is another snooker superstar who won’t be returning anytime soon. However, ‘The Rocket’ was already splitting his time between there and Hong Kong long prior to the recent war developments.
He will not be in Manchester next week after electing to not play this year’s Tour Championship. However, Trump will be one of the 12 vying for the £150,000 grand prize as he aims to claim the title for the first time.
