Liverpool dressing room reaction to PSV loss after Slot sack question | Football | Sport
Liverpool’s woeful streak has now extended into European competition, with the PSV battering seeing them tumble to 13th spot in the league phase table.
Gravenberch was asked for his verdict on Liverpool’s PSV humiliation, delivering a concerning revelation.
“What can I say about today, we are just angry,” Gravenberch told TNT Sports. “Angry that we lost.
“I think in the first half we didn’t even play badly. We created a lot of chances. In the second half – it went really wrong.”
Gravenberch’s remarks follow Slot being questioned about his future as Liverpool’s manager.
“I don’t think it’s important if it’s fair or not,” Slot responded when quizzed about his job security. “But that is normal. That I understand.
“If any manager around the world loses football games, let alone so many as we’ve lost, it’s quite normal that people have an opinion about that.
“And if that’s fair or not fair, that’s for the people to judge. But that is normal. I think it is that if you lose so many times, that people start talking about that.
“I think it’s a shock for everyone. For the players, for the journalists over here, for me. For everyone this is a shock that is very, very, very unexpected when you look at the quality we are having.”
