A self-styled “living Nostradamus” has warned that the US is locked in a race with China to secure what he calls the “Triangle of Eternity” – three technologies that could decide global dominance for the next century. The Brazilian seer Athos Salomé, who has gained a following for his geopolitical predictions, claims the true battleground between Washington and Beijing is not traditional warfare but cutting-edge technology labs.
According to Mr Salomé, the US strategy is simple – buy time. If Washington can delay China’s technological rise long enough, he believes America could achieve a trio of breakthroughs that would reshape global power. Mr Salomé describes the concept as a strategic trinity comprising three revolutionary technologies. The first is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) – a theoretical form of AI capable of performing any intellectual task better than humans.
The second pillar is nuclear fusion, the long-sought ability to replicate the reaction that powers the Sun, potentially providing nearly limitless and cheap energy.
The third is Quantum Computing, a technology expected to vastly outperform current computers and potentially render existing encryption and defence systems obsolete.
Mr Salomé believes whichever nation first masters all three will hold overwhelming economic and military advantages.
He argues that if the US reaches those breakthroughs before China becomes the world’s largest economy, it could cement Western leadership for another hundred years.
The real war isn’t fought in trenches, he said; instead, it’s fought in “silicon laboratories”.
The mystic also warned that geopolitics could soon pivot toward the Arctic – particularly Greenland. As polar ice melts and new shipping routes emerge, the region is becoming increasingly important to global trade and military strategy.
Melting ice has begun to reshape navigation routes across the Arctic, creating what some analysts call a “Polar Silk Road” linking Asia to Europe.
For decades, China’s maritime trade has depended heavily on the narrow Strait of Malacca – a chokepoint that the US Navy could potentially block during conflict. However, new Arctic routes could allow Chinese shipping to bypass that vulnerability entirely. Mr Salomé claims this makes Greenland strategically vital.
Control or strong influence over the vast island would effectively give a nation oversight of key Arctic routes and the gateway to the emerging northern shipping lanes. Beyond shipping, Greenland is also believed to contain significant deposits of rare-earth minerals, resources crucial to modern electronics and advanced technology.
While many analysts remain sceptical of prophetic forecasts, Mr Salomé argues that technology and geography together will determine the next phase of global power politics.
In his view, the world is entering an era in which AI, energy and computing breakthroughs – combined with control over emerging Arctic routes – will define the balance of power. If the US can hold its technological lead long enough, he claims, the next century could remain firmly under American influence.
