He is a dog with a heart of gold, but sadly, but sadly had no home to call his own. Wolfie, formerly known as Fox, is searching for a new home in the UK after being rescued from a shelter in Egypt, where he spent countless days staring at the same four walls.
This three-year-old dog, believed to be a husky cross, currently weighs approximately 30kg and needs to lose a bit more weight. This means he’ll need an owner committed to improving his fitness.
Wolfie, who has been described as “so kind and loving”, is up for adoption through Miracle’s Mission for a fee of £200.
His adoption profile reads: “He was fostered from a shelter in Egypt by the lovely Laura, who lives in Essex.
“He has no known health or behaviour issues at this time. He has been great with the other dogs at Laura’s home. He is not cat tested and this cannot be arranged.
“He can be a little wary about meeting new people, but he has only been in the UK since late February and is improving all the time.
“He does not take long to come around once he realises he is safe. Laura is confident that he is a highly adoptable dog and has asked us to find a home for him.”
Describing his ideal home, the rescue organisation stated: “A loving home happy to adopt an ex-shelter dog that will need time to adjust and find his feet. A home willing to put the work into basic training and life skills with a dog.”
Reacting to his adoption listing, one commenter said: “He’s gorgeous.”
Another commented: “What a stunner.”
Established in 2015, Miracle’s Mission has been committed to “provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the need for neutering both pets and strays, and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets”.
A statement shed light on how the charity received its name: “Miracle was rescued from the streets of Borneo at one week old before her tiny eyes were even open. She was discovered with her siblings in a very remote area, where they were likely abandoned and very unwell.
“The puppies were infested with maggots, suffering from ringworm and blood parasites. Regrettably, Miracle’s siblings did not survive.
“Miracle received care and faced a lengthy recovery journey. She had multiple injuries and was extremely weak, but she made a miraculous recovery and is now robust, joyful and healthy, living with her adopted sisters Star and Tess, who were also rescued from Borneo. Her goal is to help rescue many more animals in need globally.
“Miracle is the namesake of our charity, and her story mirrors many others worldwide. However, not all of these animals are as fortunate as she was in finding a loving home where she is spoilt rotten.”
