Luke Littler announces plans with girlfriend as he hints at darts brea | Other | Sport
Luke Littler is planning to take a different approach to his tournament schedule next year. The 18-year-old has had a whirlwind 2025 since winning the PDC World Darts Championship in January, which marked the first of several victories.
Littler claimed the UK Open and World Matchplay titles, while also finishing runner-up in the Premier League and World Series Finals. He is currently second in the PDC Order of Merit, behind Luke Humphries, having competed in the World Series and European Tour, as well as the sport’s major tournaments. While his packed schedule has seen Littler enjoy success on the oche, the amount of travel involved has left ‘The Nuke’ with little time off.
The darts sensation, who recently teased stepping away from the sport, admitted that he has not been able to reflect on his achievements and is already planning to make time for a holiday with his girlfriend in 2026.
When asked if he had been able to enjoy a getaway this year, Littler told Darts News: “I didn’t have the chance this year. Last year I managed to, but this year has just been full-on.
“That comes with winning the Worlds – more to do, more people to talk to. But in 2026, there’ll definitely be a few holidays for me.
“I’ll take the time to go away with my girlfriend and family, without even thinking about darts.”
Littler’s new relationship with his girlfriend Faith Millar, who is a 19-year-old beauty therapist, was revealed earlier this year.
“I’ve not properly sat down and gone, ‘I’ve done this, I’ve done that.’ It’s just constant – competition, then you’re back home, then you’re back on another flight for the Europeans or the World Series,” Littler continued.
“Even after the Worlds, I think I had a week off, maybe ten days, then the World Series started again. Hopefully one day I can sit down and look back on it all.”
Littler’s desire for a break was demonstrated by choosing to withdraw from several Players Championship dates in Leicester this week. It is not the first time that Littler has decided to drop out of a Players Championship date, having missed numerous events this year.
The Players Championship uses a different ranking system from the PDC Order of Merit and Littler is currently at risk of missing out on the Players Championship finals in November.
Following his absence in Leicester, Littler has dropped to 68th place in the rankings, below the 64-place cut-off line for the finals. He is within less than £1,000 of Germany’s Lukas Wenig, who occupies 64th place.
There are four Players Championship dates in Wigan remaining this season, with each carrying a £15,000 grand prize, which would bolster Littler’s position in the standings. Last year, he lost 11-7 to Humphries in the Players Championship final, earning £60,000 as runner-up in Minehead.
