Meghan Markle fans go wild as her makeup artist shares rare behind the scene | Royal | News
Meghan Markle‘s make-up artist and close friend, Daniel Martin, has revealed what the Duchess wore during her surprise appearance in Paris. The Duchess of Sussex travelled to France on Saturday to attend Balenciaga’s fashion show and afterparty during Paris Fashion Week.
She looked stylish in two ensembles, a white and a black one, custom-made for her by the fashion house’s new creative director and her friend, Pierpaolo Piccioli. Meghan kept her hair in a sleek bun, while her makeup was natural and glowy. Now, Mr Martin has revealed all the products he used on the Duchess for her glamorous appearance in Paris.
In a video no longer on his official Instagram account, Mr Martin revealed that he did Meghan’s usual prep before applying makeup on her, but he used a new product for her foundation—Ocré’s Come Closer Serum Foundation, which is unavailable in the UK.
He said: “I did my usual skincare prep with her, which was a lot of Tatcha.
“The switch up was I actually mixed the Tatcha Longevity Serum in with the foundation and I think that added another layer of radiance to her make-up that just made her look even more juicy and glowy.”
He added: “I use foundation a lot with my hands, so when I apply it I’m applying it like a massage, like I do with my skin care.
“I’ll go in with a brush to add more coverage and then I use a sponge to blend it out, but I never apply foundation with a sponge and I never apply foundation directly to the brush, to the face.”
He also used Paris Berlin’s Poudre Minerale and pressed it on the Duchess’s T-zone area.
Mr Martin used brown eyeshadow and MAC’s Stack Elevated mascara, while on for Meghan’s cheeks, the make-up artist used two cream products – the Tom Ford Shade And Illuminate Cream Contour Duo and Tatcha’s The Serum Stick on top of it for extra glow.
On her lips, he used Make Up Forever’s Artist Colour Lip Pencil in an unspecified shade and Tom Ford’s Runway Lip Colour in Iconic Nude.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted by the Duchess herself, Chanel’s Healthy Bronzing Glow cream and Live’s Tinted Hueglow are also visible.
Royal fans loved the look and took to social media to praise the Duchess and Mr Martin for the outcome.
