Meghan Markle’s close pal lifts the lid on secret behind Duchess’s new look | Royal | News

Meghan Markle‘s make-up artist and close friend, Daniel Martin, has opened up about the Duchess’s secret behind her glowy and natural look. Daniel, who did Meghan’s make-up for her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, worked with her until 2022 and also appeared in her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, revealed his best makeup hacks for her public appearances.

Appearing on a Gloss Angeles podcast episode with hosts Kirbie Johnson and Sara Tan, Mr Martin revealed: “This is a new product that’s in my kit.” He explained how he uses the Live Tinted Hueglow liquid highlighter drops on the Duchess to give her that fresh and natural look, explaining: “It does this beautiful glass. I used it on Meghan for an event.

“And it just gives your skin this beautiful; it’s like when Pat McGrath did the whole mask that just made skin look like glass. It’s that, but in a product.”

The event in question was a gala Meghan attended last December in Beverly Hills to support her and Prince Harry‘s close friend, Tyler Perry.

The former Suits actress looked incredible in a black strapless black Oscar de la Renta gown, reportedly worth £4,850.

She also wore a pair of Stuart Weitzman strappy heels (£440) and a striking diamond tennis necklace by Logan Hollowell (£23,327 – £39,605). Her hair was styled in waves and held up in a chic updo, which showcased her flawless make-up.

The Duchess opted for a glowy, fresh look with defined eyebrows and eyelashes. She also appeared to be wearing a body highlighter around her collarbone, shoulders and arms.

And now, thanks to her make-up artist, we know it was the same products he used on her to give her that incredible glow.

Co-host Kirbie asked him: “So you used that on her body?”

He replied: “I used it on Meghan’s body, Meghan’s face, because it just adds this radiance to the skin that doesn’t look like makeup.”

Mr Martin revealed that he used shade Golden Hour on Meghan, adding: “I add it to foundation too if I want a bit of radiance because the texture feels like skincare.

“It’s very compatible with makeup, and sometimes with makeup, things can get too shiny if it’s already like shimmery, whereas this just gives it an added like lacquer.”
