A huge fire has erupted at a tower block in New York City in the early hours of Saturday (January 24).

It broke out in The Bronx and there are 200 firefighters and emergency crews at the scene. The fire started shortly after midnight local time and spread to multiple apartments in a 17-story building. According to initial reports, the fire broke out on the top two floors of the building. 

Videos circulating on social media show flames engulfing the top floors of the building. There was no immediate word on what caused the fire, and it was not immediately clear if anyone had been injured, AP reported.
