Octopus Energy has brought back an £8 perk for its loyalty customers for a limited time until November 21.
The major energy supplier runs an exclusive rewards program for its smart meter customers which gives members access to a variety of cost-saving perks and incentives. According to Octopus, in 2024 customers had access to more than £300 worth of rewards across the year which, based on a typical bill, would be equivalent to 17% of annual energy costs. Customers can sign up to the Octoplus scheme via the Octopus Energy app or their online account and in doing so can enjoy an array of exclusive benefits, including the chance to explore some of the UK’s hidden gems at a bargain price. Octopus Energy has confirmed that its National Trust passes are back, meaning loyalty customers can get access to more than 200 National Trust sites in England and Wales for just £8.
The family day pass covers standard admission for up to two adults and three children and the offer at one of these National Trust venues and can only be claimed once until November 21. Once claimed, customers then have until December 12 to plan their family day out.
Announcing the return of perk in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Octopus Energy said: “Want an excuse to get cosy and explore some hidden UK gems?
“Our National Trust passes are BACK! Family day passes are just £8 in the Octoplus Tab (2 adults and up to three kids). Where are you heading first?”
When purchasing the pass, customers will be asked to select a date but Octopus says the pass can be used on any day up to and including December 12, subject to capacity, terms and any pre-booking requirements.
Customers must enter their unique code in the box under ‘additional information’ on the final checkout page. You will need to present the unique code, found in your Octoplus account, along with your £8 day pass confirmation email which will contain a unique barcode. You will need this confirmation email to gain entry at your chosen place.
National Trust sites you can visit include Giant’s Causeway in County Antrim, Greyfriars House and Garden in Worcestershire, Hill Top and Hawkshead in Cumbria, and Attingham Park in Shropshire.
Octopus Energy explains: “Enjoy a family day pass for just £8 – that’s a saving of over £42. The family day pass covers standard admission for up to 2 adults and up to 3 children at over 200 National Trust places in England and Wales, under the National Trust care.
“Excludes non-standard admission, group entry, transport, and any paid events. Adults visiting without any accompanying children are welcome to use the pass too.
“Your pass doesn’t include parking, non-standard admission, paid transport and paid events, unless these are free within standard admission. Passes cannot be used for group admission.”
The supplier added: “You can claim this offer once until 21st November, once claimed you’ll have until 12th December to plan your family day out. There will be more chances throughout the year to grab another family pass.”
