The parents of 10-year-old Matilda, the youngest of the Bondi shooting victims, recalled the moments leading up the shooting, saying they thought the gunshots were “fireworks” or a “bad joke.” Matilda was one of at least 15 people who were killed after two gunmen opened fire on a Hanukkah event at Australia’s famed Bondi Beach.
