Popular supermarket to open new stores across the UK — full list
Aldi is preparing for a major expansion, with plans to open five new stores across the UK in just 24 hours. The move comes as the retailer prepares for the busy Christmas season and seeks to offer shoppers more choice and convenience.
These new stores will bring fresh investment to local areas and create new job opportunities for people in the surrounding areas. Communities will also benefit from easier access to affordable groceries and popular everyday products.
Where are the new stores located?
Aldi will open five new stores in Uxbridge, Old Kent Road, Northallerton, Pershore (all opening on December 11), and Yate, Bristol (opening on December 12).
The rapid expansion highlights Aldi’s push toward its goal of 1,500 UK stores, backed by £650million in investments for 2025 and a further £1.6billion over the following two years. The five openings will create around 200 jobs, all with Aldi’s industry-leading pay and paid breaks.
The expansion comes as Aldi was once again named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for November, a title it has held for four years in a row, underlining its continued commitment to delivering unbeatable value.
Building on this momentum, Real Estate Managing Director at Aldi UK, Jon Neale, shared: “Opening any new store is exciting, but opening five in 24 hours, just before Christmas, will make a huge difference for customers in each of these areas.
“It reflects the demand we’re seeing right across the UK and the scale of our ambition as we continue to grow. We’re committed to growing in the right places, with the right teams, bringing our low prices and high-quality products to even more communities – and we’re committed to moving as fast as we can to deliver that.”
