Posh supermarket to open 6 brand new stores in 2026 — full list of locations

Grocery store chain Whole Food Markets has announced it will open six new locations by the end of June this year. All of the new locations will be opening their doors in London.

New locations of Whole Foods Market will be opening in Angel, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street, and St James’s. It marks the first major UK expansion of the Amazon-owned chain, after it opened its first UK location over a decade ago. According to The Grocer, each of the new stores will be kitted out with a bakery department, speciality cheese section, and beauty “hall”.

The supermarket chain will stock a range of Whole Foods’ organic and regular groceries, as well as a wide selection of pre-prepared and grab-and-go items. Retail Gazette also noted that the new locations will feature exclusive products including drinks, flowers and plants.

A number of the new stores will take over locations that were formerly occupied by Amazon Fresh. The sixth will be a brand-new store in St James, Westminster.

Jason Buechel, Whole Foods Market’s CEO, said: “We’re happy to be expanding Whole Foods Market’s physical store presence in the UK, allowing us to reach more customers with our uncompromising quality standards and carefully curated selection of natural and organic products.

“Each new store represents an opportunity to bring responsibly sourced, high-quality food to more communities who share our values of nourishing people and the planet.”
