This winner purchased their winning Bond in February 2019 and holds £50,000 in Premium Bonds.

How to check if you’ve won Premium Bonds prizes
Premium Bonds holders can see if they’ve won a prize in the June draw from Tuesday, June 4, by checking the NS&I website, the prize checker app, or simply asking Alexa.
To check on the NS&I website, customers will need their Premium Bonds holder’s number, while for the prize checker app, they’ll need their NS&I number or holder’s number. People can also check for any unclaimed prizes owed to them.
Prizes are split into three value bands – higher, medium, and lower – and each band receives a percentage share of the monthly prize fund.
The prize fund rate for Premium Bonds is 4.4 percent, and the odds of any £1 Bond number winning a prize are 21,000 to one.
Prizes in the higher band range from £1 million (only two of these can be won) to £5,000. The medium band offers prizes between £1,000 and £500, while the lower band awards range from £100 to £25.
In the June 2024 prize draw, 5,909,748 prizes worth £455,050,550 will be paid out. Additionally, 124,104,692,592 Bond numbers were eligible for the draw.
All Premium Bonds prizes are free of UK Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax, so people will be pleased to know they can keep the entirety of their winnings.
Winners are typically notified when they win a Premium Bonds prize. However, some people may move or change their contact details without updating NS&I, leading to unclaimed prizes, particularly for those who choose to receive their prizes by cheque
At present, more than 2.4 million Premium Bond prizes worth just over £80million are currently going unclaimed.
To receive prizes faster and more securely, customers can opt for automatic bank deposits or reinvestment into more Premium Bonds, which is how 90 percent of prizes are paid to winners, according to NS&I.
