Putin humiliated as ‘b*lls of steel’ Zelensky taunts his bitter enemy | World | News
Volodymyr Zelensky has been praised for standing one mile from Russian forces in an area Vladimir Putin’s troops claim to control. The Ukrainian president taunted his Russian counterpart today (December 12), as he was filmed near Russian guns to back Ukrainian troops who retain control of Kupyansk.
The latest reports suggest Ukraine‘s army has carried out a successful counterattack in Kupyansk, and is on the verge of clearing the city of all Russian troops. “Today – the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are achieving results for Ukraine here. Many Russians have talked about Kupyansk – we can see it. I was there. I congratulated the guys. Thank you to every unit, to everyone who is fighting here, to everyone who is destroying the occupier,” Zelensky said in a post to his social media channel. Noel Reports, a pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel, hailed Zelensky, who “with b*lls of steel visits the very frontline in Kupyansk”.
The Russians claimed they had seized the city in November, but those claims were dismissed by Ukraine.
Independent Russian outlet Ateo Breaking reported that Ukrainian forces are now controlling several settlements and neighborhoods near the city of Kupyansk.
“Throughout November, the Russian president claimed that Russia had taken Kupyansk.
“And today, the president actually arrived in Kupyansk. But there’s a twist – it’s the president of Ukraine,” the Russian media outlet said.
Since then, Zelensky’s troops have launched a major counterattack to drive out the Russian units and encircle the city.
Earlier this year, Ukrainian troops began to regain control of the villages of Kindrashivka and Radkivka, and other areas of the city, as explained by the National Guard’s Kharkiv Corps posted on Facebook.
Kupyansk is situated in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region and serves as an important rail and road hub, acting as a vital logistics center and gateway to northeastern Ukraine.
