Days after the Kremlin vowed to retaliate against Ukraine’s deadly attack on Belgorod, Vladimir Putin‘s forces targeted multiple cities in the war-torn country with devastating airstrikes.

But the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) also committed a devastating blunder by mistakenly releasing ammunition on a village within Russia‘s borders.

Videos circulating online show the destruction created to the village of Petropavlovka, in the Voronezh region, by the dangerous mistake.

Pictures show many houses in the western Russian village seemingly darkened by fire and smoke and with their windows destroyed, while debris is scattered everywhere on the ground.

A massive hole can also be seen on the terrain, likely created by the dropped ammunition.
