Russian state TV panel discuss ‘invading Paris’
Infamous Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has fanned the flames once again by urging Vladimir Putin to “invade Paris and Berlin” and launch missile strikes on the Ukrainian Parliament and Presidential palace. And, speaking on his prime time show on Russia-1, he also taunted Donald Trump over the civil unrest which has erupted in California in recent days.
Solovyov, one of Russia‘s most influential media figures, fronted a fiery and, at times, rambling discussion involving, among others, Andrey Sidorov, deputy dean of politics at Moscow State University, and Kirill Benediktov, author of a Russian-language biography of Mr Trump. The conversation turned to recent Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian airfields, which have been described as “Russia’s Pearl Harbour”. Sidorov said: “In many media outlets and blogs, debates are taking place in scientific research institutes: how will Russia respond?

“They’ve saying the first strikes have taken place. A series of strikes. Others are saying ‘no guys,’ they’ve preparing something a lot bigger.”
Referring to the district of Kyiv which includes the Rada, or Parliament, and the official residence of Volodymyr Zelensky, he continued: “That we will strike control centres, that we will level Bankova Street, that we will start to advance.
“We’re already advancing, that we will take the Yetaterinoslav [Dnipro].”
Solovyov interjected: “Why just the Yekaterinoslav?” prompting Sidorov to reply: “That is where we’re advancing right now. Naturally Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv.”
Solovyov then asked: “You’re thinking too small, how about Berlin and Paris?”
Sidorov replied: “How are we going to feed them?”, with Solovyov continuing: “Who said we would feed them? We would just take them but not feed them. Who needs the likes of Merz and Annalena Baerbock?

“I think it would be very funny.”
He then pivoted to events across the Atlantic, saying: “With interest the whole world is looking at the revolution that is unfolding in America.
“Now Trump is facing the Democratic Party in exile.
“As soon as he started trying to deal with illegal immigration, battles in California started.
“It also turned out that two alpha males can’t coexist. Quite a fight immediately started.
“Yesterday’s friends started to act in a completely unprecedented way.

Referring to the tech billionaire’s father Errol, Benediktov commented: “By the way, Musk’s daddy is in Moscow right now.”
Solovyov said: “He’s probably trying to make a deal.”
Sharing images of riot police in Los Angeles firing tear gas, he said: “These are the quiet, peaceful streets of American cities. Wonderful happy California. It’s normal isn’t it?
“By the way I’m waiting for protests in Europe about the violation of rights of peaceful protesters.
“I’m watching it and enjoying it. “
Solovyov, 62, is known for his strong nationalist views, vocal support for Putin’s policies, and his aggressive style of debate, often attacking opposition figures and Western critics.
His influence extends beyond television, as he is considered a key voice in shaping public opinion in Russia, especially during times of political tension or international conflict.
His position in Russian media makes him a significant figure in the country’s information landscape, embodying the Kremlin’s media strategy and serving as a mouthpiece for its political agenda.
President Donald Trump is defending his decision to send Another 2,000 National Guard troops along with 700 Marines to Los Angeles, escalating a military presence local officials and Gov. Gavin Newsom do not want and which the police chief says creates logistical challenges for safely handling protests.
Additional protests against immigration raids are expected to continue in other cities on Tuesday.
Posting on Truth Social on Tuesday, Mr Trump said: “If I didn’t “SEND IN THE TROOPS” to Los Angeles the last three nights, that once beautiful and great City would be burning to the ground right now, much like 25,000 houses burned to the ground in L.A. due to an incompetent Governor and Mayor.
“Incidentally, the much more difficult, time consuming, and stringent FEDERAL PERMITTING PROCESS is virtually complete on these houses, while the easy and simple City and State Permits are disastrously bungled up and WAY BEHIND SCHEDULE!
“They are a total mess, and will be for a long time. People want to rebuild their houses. Call your incompetent Governor and Mayor, the Federal permitting is DONE!!!”
