Russia ‘plotting chilling WW3 strike’ to destroy UK in ‘tidal wave’ | World | News
A war of words between a US General and a retired Russian general have seen a Kremlin propagandist threaten the UK and NATO with nuclear war. The former American military Commander in Europe Ben Hodges recently warned Vladimir Putin that a Russian attack on Poland would trigger a devastating response.
His warning came after Russian forces launched drone incursions into Poland and the airspaces of other NATO members, which were condemned as “reckless” and “unprecedented” by world leaders. Speaking of what the response would be to a conventional military attack on Poland, Hodges said: “If Russia attacked Poland today in the same way it attacked Ukraine, it would have been destroyed by NATO air forces and Alliance ground forces. You can be sure Kaliningrad would be eliminated in the first hours, in the opening hours.
“All Russian facilities would be destroyed. Any Russian military facilities in Sevastopol [in occupied Crimea, Black Sea], too. All Russian facilities would be destroyed. Any Russian military facilities in Sevastopol [in occupied Crimea, Black Sea], too.”
His comments were met with fury by retired general and hardline MP Andrey Gurulev who said: “We must prepare for a major war.”
He added: “The former commander of US forces in Europe gleefully announced that they’ll quickly demolish Kaliningrad and Sevastopol. These are NATO plans, and they’re quite realistic. They’re conducting exercises, including near our borders, to try to demolish our Kaliningrad and Sevastopol. And our task is to prevent the demolition of Kaliningrad, Sevastopol, or any other populated area on Russian territory. Kaliningrad – home of Russia’s Baltic Fleet – “must be an impregnable fortress….”
Russian propaganda TV military expert Andrei Klintsevich and Putin attack dog Vladimir Solovyov claimed that a new world war could start with the use from Ukrainian territory of a “single” Tomahawk missile which Donald Trump made clear he may supply to Kyiv.
Ukraine is currently urging the White House to sell the devastating missile to European partners to allow them to sell it to Kyiv.
The missile has a range of over 1,500 miles, putting Moscow firmly within range of any launch from inside Ukraine.
Moscow has claimed such missiles are nuclear capable, however the US has not suggested supplying Ukraine with atomic weapons.
Use of the Tomahawk was “the start of a nuclear war,” claimed Solovyov, who nightly trumpets Putin’s narratives on Russian state TV.
Solovyov threatened: “We will first have to strike at the storage and deployment sites of nuclear launchers and decision-making centres,” as he threatened to turn the UK into a sea called the Strait of Comrade Stalin “and wipe out this incomprehensible little British spitball”.
Klintsevich said Russia’s new high speed underwater nuclear drone Poseidon should be used against Britain, something he said would “see the wave wash over Britain,” as he alleged that one Kremlin aim is to “wipe out” Britain under a “nuclear tidal wave”.
