Shaw’s girlfriend shares life update as Man Utd star issues response | Football | Sport
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has welcomed his fourth child with long-term partner Anouska Santos.
33-year-old Santos announced last week that the couple were anticipating another arrival. On Tuesday, she disclosed that their third daughter, Paisley, was born late last month.
In an Instagram post, Santos posted several photographs for her 85,000 followers, including a mirror selfie featuring the newest member of the Shaw household.
Another image showed Paisley with her siblings in a cot. The final photograph captured Santos’ left hand, now bearing a tattoo of Paisley’s name.
A caption on the post read: “Paisley [heart with arrow] 20.02.26.”
Within the comments section, Santos received numerous supportive messages. Shaw contributed a simple red love heart emoji.
Kennedy Alexa, James Maddison’s partner, commented: “You’re incredible Her name is gorgeous!!! Congratulations.”
Estelle Bergkamp, fiancee of Shaw’s former United colleague Donny van de Beek, posted: “Ahhhhh congrats beauty.”
Kaylee Ake, wife of Manchester City defender Nathan, added: “Ahhh congratulations hun [red love heart emoji].”
Like Shaw, United defender Harry Maguire also liked the post. Shaw and Santos’ three other children are Reign London, six, and sisters Storie, four, and Lumie, two.
Shaw, 30, has delivered an outstanding campaign for United after regaining his best form following an injury-plagued 2024/25 season. Yet the England defender sparked worries after being withdrawn during the opening period of Sunday’s victory over Crystal Palace.
He seemed to sustain a heavy challenge from Daniel Munoz but continued until the 24th minute, when he could no longer carry on, despite receiving pitch-side attention. However, Carrick confirmed in his post-Palace media briefing that illness was affecting Shaw – along with centre-half Harry Maguire – rather than any knock.
Carrick remains optimistic Shaw might feature against Newcastle United on Wednesday, with the United manager providing an updated bulletin in his pre-match media session. “Still got a bit of time to the game, and we’ll just have to see how they feel,” he said on Shaw and Maguire.
“So we’ll give them every chance. We’re working towards it. They weren’t feeling too good, we’ve still got a bit of time to the game so we’ll see how they feel. It wasn’t injury, both weren’t feeling too good, so it’s one of those things really. We’ll see how they are.”
