Six Nations LIVE: England star undergoes surgery as Scotland icon blasts Twickenham | Rugby | Sport

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has undergone surgery on his shoulder, ruling him out of the Six Nations and potentially the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia.

The 22-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder in December and there has been confusion over how the injury should be treated.

Exeter booked the winger in for the operation but Feyi-Waboso deliberated due to his fears that he might not return for the Six Nations.

Steve Borthwick – who has the final say over sports science matters regarding Feyi-Waboso due to him being a contracted England player – announced that he had decided to go under the knife when confirming his Six Nations squad.

However, it turned out that Feyi-Waboso had decided against that, making himself available for the Six Nations.

They England star has now undergone surgery, with it feared that he may not return to action in time for the British & Irish Lions tour.
