Spain train crash LIVE: Driver killed and 15 injured in second horror collision in days | World | News

Spain’s rail operator ADIF has ordered high-speed trains travelling between Madrid and Barcelona to temporarily slow down along two sections of track, covering nearly 93 miles, according to Reuters.

The move follows reports from drivers of irregularities on the rails, just two days after Sunday’s collisions in Adamuz, southern Spain, which killed at least 41 people.

“This is a temporary measure. Drivers have reported bumps on the tracks, and this restriction has been put in place for safety reasons,” an ADIF spokesperson said.

“Maintenance will check tonight, and if everything is fine, the restriction should be lifted.”
