  1. Defensive masterclass: Super Bowl LX proved to be an unforgettable evening at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, characterised by an overwhelming defensive display from the Seattle Seahawks. For three quarters of play, the Seahawks completely stifled their rivals, the New England Patriots.
  2. The ‘Dark Side’: Seattle’s defence lived up to their reputation and nickname throughout Super Bowl LX. Under Mike Macdonald’s coaching, his unit brought down Patriots quarterback Drake Maye six times and generated three turnovers, including a defensive touchdown by linebacker Uchenna Nwosu.
  3. Historic halftime entertainment: Bad Bunny created history by becoming the first solo Spanish-language performer to lead the show. Despite President Donald Trump’s criticism of the spectacle, the Grammy-winning artist received largely favourable reviews.
  4. The Super Bowl MVP: Running back Kenneth Walker III secured the Super Bowl MVP, accumulating 135 yards from 27 carries. However, numerous supporters felt that kicker Jason Myers deserved this award.
  5. Record-breaking kicking excellence: Seahawks sensation Myers etched his name into the history books by becoming the first player in NFL history to convert five field goals in a Super Bowl. He also became the first NFL player to register more than 200 points in a single season, including the playoffs.
  6. Challenging evening for Maye: The second-year quarterback experienced a tough outing in his maiden Super Bowl appearance. Whilst he managed to register two touchdowns during the fourth quarter, the fightback proved to not be enough for New England.
  7. Darnold’s vindication: The Super Bowl win completed one of the most remarkable career turnarounds in NFL history. Sam Darnold, previously tipped as a draft failure, delivered an error-free performance (202 yards, 1 TD) to secure his first championship ring.
  8. Final score: The Seahawks controlled proceedings throughout, securing a 29-13 victory over the Patriots. The scoring remained low through the opening three quarters with just 12 points registered, before an explosive finale saw 30 points scored in the closing 15 minutes.
