Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons can get ‘free £30’ | Personal Finance | Finance
Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons customers could earn a free £30 when shopping online. It comes as TopCashback is offering a deal to new customers that will earn them £30 extra cashback when spending £5 or more online. However, new customers don’t have much time left, as the deal closes on March 6, meaning there’s a limited chance of getting money back from your grocery shop.
MoneySavingExpert explained that customers must sign up using their TopCashback link by 11:59pm on Friday, March 6 or before 10,000 new members have signed up, and then “make a qualifying purchase from one of the 1,000s of brands listed on Topcashback,” which includes Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
To qualify, you must join TopCashback and cancel your ‘Plus’ membership, which you automatically get when you join.
MoneySavingExpert explained: “You automatically become a TopCashback Plus member when you join, which costs £5 a year and gets you top-up on cashback, up to 25% payout bonuses and exclusives. If you like the idea of that, you can still get the full £30 bonus as the fee will be taken from your yearly earnings. If you want out, see Topcashback’s end Plus membership help.”
Therefore, if you plan to do a big shop in the next two days, it’s worth doing it through Topcashback to earn some money back on what you’d do anyway.

Even if you only plan to get a few items, it’s worth trying out as you only need to spend a fiver to get the maximum cash back of £5.
Though MoneySavingExpert also noted that cashback is not a certainty, highlighting that although unlikely, things can go wrong, such as your purchase not tracking or the company you’ve brought from going bankrupt.
It added: “This is why we always stress that cashback should be seen as an added extra and not guaranteed income.”
