The best new releases on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
There’s always an influx of new TV shows and movies available at the tip of your fingers these days, so it can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing if you’re trying to find something new to watch.
Instead of feeling daunted or wasting an hour scrolling through your services to pick a film or show, one movie fanatic named Laura Grace has shared her favourite new releases that are available on either Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime to help you save time.
“What’s new on streaming platforms right now?” she wrote on TikTok before revealing the list.
A Complete Unknown – Disney+ and Amazon Prime
First up was A Complete Unknown, which stars Timothee Chalamet as a young Bob Dylan. The movie was released in 2024 and follows the story the legendary singer on his path to fame. It has been praised since it was released last year, earning an overall score of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s now available to stream on Disney+.
“I never got round to watching this in the cinema so I’m excited for a movie night this weekend,” Laura wrote about the movie.
Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles – Disney+
If you’re in the mood for true crime, Laura’s next recommendation was the series Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, which is currently available on Disney+.
The four part series shares the story of the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes by police at Stockwell station in London after he was wrongly deemed to be one of the fugitives involved in failed bombing attempts.
“Love a true story drama rather than solely being a documentary,” Laura commented about the series.
Chef’s Table Legends and Cheat: Unfinished Business – Netflix
If you’d rather watch something on Netflix, Laura recommends cooking show, Chef’s Table Legends, which she argued was great for ‘background TV’, or the new reality drama series Cheat: Unfinished business, which sees former cheaters reconnect with their exes.
“New reality TV show for a bit of trash in the evenings,” Laura said.
Interview with a Vampire – Netflix
As for movies, Laura shared that the 1994 movie Interview with a Vampire, starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst, has now been added to the Netflix catalogue.
She explained: “I know this isn’t NEW but it’s new to Netflix and after my obsession with Sinners I need all the vampire TV/film content.”
Conclave – Amazon Prime
Next on her list was the 2025 Oscar-winning movie Conclave, which follows Ralph Fiennes as Cardinal Thomas Lawrence as he tries to uncover the secrets and scandals about the candidates with in a conclave to elect a new pope.
This movie recently experienced a resurgence in popularity following the death of Pope Francis in April 2025. This is now available to watch on Amazon Prime.
Den of Thieves 2: Pantera – Amazon Prime
Finally, the last movie Laura recommended was the 2025 action and thiller movie Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime. To comment, Laura simply wrote “Gerard butler *handshake emoji* action films.”
