Transfer news LIVE: Liverpool deals done today, Man Utd £100m bid | Football | Sport
Liverpool have reportedly submitted an official offer of £100million plus £10-12m in add-ons for Florian Wirtz.
That’s according to Bild, who claim that Leverkusen are still holding out for £126m, while Liverpool are aiming to bring that total down to £110m.
Neither club wants a protracted negotiation and a deal is expected to be agreed swiftly.
Although, one snag is though to be which club pays the ‘training fee’ for Wirtz – payments to Wirtz’s former clubs that helped produce the German talent.
Five per cent of the overall fee would be distributed, with Koln receiving £2.5m as Wirtz initially came through their academy before leaving to Leverkusen at the age of 16.
Discussions are still ongoing regarding the structure of bonus payments also.
