Express Sport understands Aston Villa will be among the clubs offered the chance to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid this summer by agent Jorge Mendes.

Mendes has a good relationship with Villa and made the same proposal last December before the attacker was loaned to Chelsea.

While Villa admire Felix, something Unai Emery made public in March, he is not thought to be part of their summer transfer plans meaning he is likely to end up elsewhere.

The 23-year-old has returned to Atletico Madrid after Mauricio Pochettino decided he did not want to sign the loanee permanently.

Villa have missed out on another Mendes client in Marco Asensio, who has agreed a long-term contract with PSG.
