Tributes pour in for teen ‘dragged onto tracks by migrant’ | World | News
Tributes are pouring in for an 18-year-old woman who died after being reportedly dragged onto the tracks by a man moments before a train arrived. Fatemeh D was grabbed by Ariop A, a 25-year-old Sudanese migrant while she was waiting for a train at Wandsbek Markt subway station in Germany on Thursday. They both died shortly after 10pm local time.
Fatemeh’s heartbroken mother posted a picture of her late daughter holding flowers, alongside the caption, “My daughter is an angel”. In another post she wrote: “Oh pretty girl.” A third post showed a compilation of videos of the teenager, with the capition, “Last night I wanted to hug you”.
A tribute announcing a vigil said: “Tomorrow, Sunday, we will meet at 2:30 pm in front of the main entrance of the Wandsbek Markt subway station, light candles and remember our dear Asal.”
