Trinny London skincare tool that ‘reduce wrinkles’ is selling fast

We are in the final countdown to Christmas and if you are late to book your facial appointments, Trinny London has got just the tool you need to erase signs of tiredness and give your skin a boost in radiance – the Plump Up Microneedle

The 0.5mm at-home tool has been dubbed by founder Trinny Woodall as “your Sunday night facial“. She shared in an intimate chat with pal and podcaster Joanne McNally: “You had a great weekend, it might be showing on your face by Sunday night. Let’s make it disappear by Monday morning – that’s what this is for.”

With one selling every 30 seconds, the derma roller in iconic yellow handle is skincare buffs’ shortcut to healthy-looking skin with clinically proven results to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It’s retailed at £44 and each product comes with an 8ml cleaning spray and a 1ml sample of Plump Up, Trinny London’s advanced peptide and hyaluronic acid serum.

Microneedling is done by causing very safe degree of trauma to the skin, to encourage its natural healing process which helps boost collagen, while smoothing and plumping the skin. There is no downtime for this treatment and shoppers can enjoy it from the comfort of their home.

Trinny demonstrated an easy way to use the microneedle: “Go across the forehead in horizontal, then vertical motions like ‘you’ve got a checkerboard of a face and you do it on clean skin and take little sections every time.”

Other than stimulating skin cell renewal and boosting collagen, it also helps the active ingredients in your skincare to work harder by absorbing easily.

Scoring a 4.5 out of 5 stars based on 162 reviews, a first-time microneedling user shared: “I was nervous at first about using, but it’s quite a nice sensation. Face feels like it’s had a professional treatment after. Only used six times so far along with the Plump Up serum, however, I do think my skin is looking more fresh and luminous.”

Another was satisfised with the at-home treatment and shared: “Totally painless and it really makes a difference with fine lines.”

But some shoppers said there’s room for improvment for the roller with one writing: “I’m happy with the Plump Up microneedle, only used it for a few weeks now, but the texture of my skin feels better already. I wish you could get different lengths of the needles, so after your skin gets used to the 0.5mm you could increase gradually, but I’m enjoying using it.”

A second was let down and said she struggled to see any difference despite having used the microneedle for weeks.

Trinny London advises beauty fans to avoid facial treatments a week before microneedling, and to avoid using retinoids the same night. The brand also urges customers to not to use the tool on sensitive, broken or active blemishes and to remember to replace the head of their microneedle every 24 uses, as the needles will start to blunt.

You can get the Plump Up Microneedle here at £44; alternatively SpaceNK is selling a Face Gym Youthful Active Roller with Refill for £66 and the dissolving microneedles boasts Reneseed, a plant-based retinol alternative, to boost density, moisture and elasticity with minimal discomfort.
