Trump brutally booed and jeered as 67,000 stadium crowd turn on President | World | News
Donald Trumpwas reportedly booed and jeered as thousands of fans attended the College Football Playoff National Championship in Miami. The US President was at the match on January 19 with his daughter Ivanka Trump and other family members.
The reaction occurred when Mr. Trump appeared on the jumbotron, prompting some people to cheer while others booed, creating a tense atmosphere in the stadium. The video shows a mix of cheers, applause, and a few noticeable boos. Moments later, the camera shifted away from them and returned its focus to the field.
Sharing a video on X, one of the users said: “Trump got BOOED at the National Championship game in Miami tonight. There were some cheers, which is expected because he’s in Florida, but a lot of people showing that they hate him. You love to see it!”
Another said: “Pretty loud roar when they showed President Trump in a suite here in Miami. Honestly sounded like equal parts cheer and boo lol.”
A third user wrote on X: “Sounds like way more booing than on the broadcast. The network probably added some applause sound so he doesn’t sue them.”
However, the White House shared a video of Trump saluting when the national anthem is played, and the audience’s reaction when Trump and family appeared on screen.
They wrote, “President Donald J. Trump receives massive cheers from the Hard Rock Stadium crowd during the national anthem at the @CFBPlayoff National Championship.”
However, this is not the first time that the US President has experienced a mixed reaction during a game.
When Donald Trump arrived at Arthur Ashe Stadium for the men’s final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in September 2025, reporters on the scene noted that the crowd responded with loud boos, along with some scattered cheers.
The incident quickly spread online and fueled debate about his reception in New York.
