UK holiday parks reopen with £10m makeover and all-inclusive deals

This March, the classic British seaside holiday gets a fresh twist as Parkdean Resorts officially reopens two of its most popular destinations – Vauxhall Holiday Park in Norfolk and Highfield Grange in Essex. Following an extensive £10 million transformation, both parks are ready to deliver a “Bigger, Better, Bolder” experience just in time for the Easter break.

The multi-million-pound upgrades have been designed to offer a modern holiday experience, combining high-tech adventure with reimagined family comforts. Whether you’re travelling with toddlers, teens, or grandparents, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on your next staycation.

And the enhanced family fun doesn’t have to break the bank. Breaks start from just £112 in April, while school holiday deals offer fantastic value – a four-night stay at Vauxhall Holiday Park begins at £149, working out at only £37 per person.

The park enhancements are packed with activities designed to keep the fun going, no matter what the Great British weather throws at you. Adventure seekers can take on brand-new high and low ropes courses, while the Bear Grylls Escape Rooms offer a unique survival-themed challenge for families and friends to tackle together.

Younger guests can enjoy the “Off-Road Rangers” circuit and new “Tots Safe Zones,” created especially for little ones. Meanwhile, the Hat Tricks Sports Bar has been revamped as a hub for adults and teenagers, featuring interactive darts, shuffleboard and indoor golf, complemented by stylish outdoor dining terraces for alfresco meals.

A further development for the 2026 season is the introduction of an all-inclusive option at 42 of its UK parks for selected dates across the year.

Visitors to both parks have shared their experiences online, with many five-star reviews to be found. One delighted visitor to Highfields Grange said: “We’ve had a lovely week away. The entertainment staff have been amazing. Great shows, brilliant interaction with the kids. Becky, Ricky and all the entertainers… can’t fault them.”

Another added: “Amazing holiday kids has so much much perfect location. The night entertainment was amazing.”

Over at Vauxhall Holiday Park, one reviewer called it a “special place” explaining: “It was our first holiday of this kind, but we felt wonderful. The caravan was clean, spacious and warm, the beds comfortable. We went with our five-year old grandson, who enjoyed a lot of activities, many interactive, in which we, the grandparents, also found a place. “

Not all guests were quite so impressed, however. One said that “the caravan was OK but not clean” while another noted: “Caravan was 100%. Perfect. Modern, clean, comfortable, but the whole pool area let everything down. Dirty, unattractive, changing rooms door did not lock.”

Overall, most staycationers enjoy a traditional seaside caravan break at both of the parks, even before the improvements have been made. One returning visitor said: “Went on holiday here in August, loved every minute and worth every penny. Definitely will be going again, great facilities from the arcade to the bar, from the pool to the restaurant and excellent staff all around.”
