‘Unhygienic toilet brushes are thing of the past – this is new method’

Cleaning the toilet isn’t a task many enjoy, and using your toilet brush to give it a deep clean, just to place it back into a holder down the side of your toilet can really go against the grain for many.

“I get totally freaked out with bog brushes, yeah”, @iiiiamgracie admitted on TikTok. However, she then revealed she’d made a purchase on TikTok shop that had changed her life.

She explained the gadget had “cleaning fluid built on the inside” and the end bit touching the toilet is “completely disposable”.

“I can’t stand doing toilet cleaning with a bog brush, I find it really unhygienic, and then you’ve got a dirty bog brush that sits next to your toilet covered in probably poo particles”, she fumed.

But she seemed to be fine using the disposable product with a long handle, so you don’t have to get on your knees and scrub with the toilet in your face.

She said it was “amazing”, and she was thrilled with the fact that she’d never have to touch a dirty toilet brush again. “It cleans them [toilets] up sparkling white”, she gushed.

Gracie then explained that when you’re done, you just press a little button and the sponge detaches and falls into the bin.

She then flushed the toilet to show the results – and it looked good as new.

“Fresh as a daisy. Literally sparkling”, she said, as she continued to zoom into the toilet.

She said it was an “absolute bargain” for just £9. If you don’t go onto TikTok shop, similar can be purchased on Amazon for £8, or even Temu for less than £5.

Some people in the comments were confused though, with one woman writing: “I don’t generally touch my toilet brush anyway…… kinda why they have long handles.”

Others were definitely going to buy one, saying: “Oh my god!! I need this in my life! Toilet brushes are the work of the devil and never have them so have to do it all by hand which is gross but this is ace!!! Thank you!”

Someone else said that toilet brushes give them “the ick”, so they were glad to find a product where they wouldn’t have to use one again.

Another claimed they hadn’t had the best experience with the product though, saying: “Great idea till they break & don’t click the sponges on anymore. Hate them now”.
