A popular Disney item has been urgently recalled, with authorities warning people to “stop using it immediately”. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall notice for a Frozen-themed bath bomb set.
It was sold in TK Maxx, but it has since been discovered to pose a “serious” chemical risk. The product has been described as a bath bomb set sold in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between March and June 2024. All batch numbers are affected.

The risk comes from the Elsa shower puff included in the set, which contains a high level of phthalates.
The OPSS said: “Phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system. The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”
Its barcode is 3666085950462, and the TK Maxx and Homesense receipt code is 768373. “We recommend that consumers stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children,” the OPSS added.
“Return it to your nearest TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund or replacement.”
TK Maxx has also shared its own recall notice, stating: “If you have purchased this product, please stop using it immediately and return to any TK Maxx or Homesense store. Tell your friends and family about this recall.”
Anyone with the affected item can get in touch with the company by calling 01923 473561 or emailing customerservice@tjxeurope.com.
According to Breast Cancer UK, certain phthalates are deemed dangerous due to their impact on reproduction.
It said: “These phthalates have been restricted or banned from toys, cosmetics, beauty products and materials that come into contact with food or are used in baby products.”

The Disney bath bomb set is not the only product recalled this week. Three stretchy toys have been withdrawn amid fears that their sand filling may contain asbestos.
The HGL Stretchy Sand Monster Truck, Scrunchems Stretchies Sleepy Dino Toy and HGL Stretchy Sand Pig have been pulled from shelves by the OPSS.
All three toys are understood to originate from China and are distributed by One For Fun Limited. Each notice urges owners to stop using the products “immediately” and keep them away from children.
One for Fun chief executive David Mordecai said: “We are aware of recent global reports concerning the presence of trace asbestos in sand used within certain consumer products. This has affected many toy companies throughout the world.
“As a precautionary measure, we immediately conducted independent testing across our full range of sand-filled items. While current safety standards (EN71) do not require testing for asbestos, our investigations identified that three of our products contained trace contamination.
“These products have been withdrawn from the market.” The company also said it will stop the use of sand across all existing and future products.
