US Open food and drinks prices with £30 sandwich and pricey cocktails | Tennis | Sport

As the US Open gets underway this weekend, tennis fans will head to New York to get a glimpse of some of the world’s best players in the final Grand Slam of the year. But the action within the tramlines won’t be the only thing leaving court-goers drooling when you consider the vast variety of delicacies on offer as part of the experience.

Express Sport offers a glance at the sort of prices that those descending on Flushing Meadows will be paying for food and drink at this year’s US Open. Hint: It won’t be a cheap day out…

A Grey Goose vodka mixer costs £17.

Want something a little more cheeky? There is plenty of choice.

A Honey Deuce mixer, which contains Grey Goose vodka, Raspberry Liqueur, Lemonade and three Honeydew Melon Balls, will set you back £17 ($23).

Bit hot? Why not try a frozen variation – which one can only presume is like a Slushy – for the same price?

There are also £14.79 ($20) options in The First Serve and Match Point.

The First Serve: Grey Goose Le Citron, Bloody Mary Mix, Lime and Celery Salt.

Match Point: Grey Goose La Poire, Ginger Beer and Lime.

The final Grey Goose offering is an Essences Fizz, also £14.79, which mixes Grey Goose Essences and soda water.

White Peach and Rosemary, Watermelon and Basil, and Strawberry and Lemongrass are the flavour combinations there.

Heineken and Kettle Chips are also on offer.

More of a beer person? That’s no issue…

A 16oz Heineken – which is just less than a pint, for the pub-goers out there, costs an eye-watering £11.83 ($16).

Yes, you read that right. A 16oz Heineken Silver comes at the same cost.

Meanwhile, an 11.2oz Heineken 0.0, the alcohol-free variation, demands £8.87 ($12). Less alcohol, and less lager.

Alternatively, tennis fans can try a ‘domestic beer’. That’s all the information we have, apart from the fact that it costs £11.09 ($15).

In this writer’s case, beer equals a snack to go with it. Kettle Chips are also on offer for £5.18 ($7). The number of crisps that gets you is unconfirmed.
