Woman told not to give bathroom a pink makeover stuns with result
Many choose to revitalise their bathrooms with fresh paint or a few new fittings from time to time.
But one daring woman faced criticism for her choice of colour, as friends derided her plan to create a pink paradise in her bathroom.
The renovation journey was documented by home, travel and lifestyle influencer Gemma Markland, who wowed the internet with her revamped space, which was described as “beautiful”.
Social media sensation Hannah, who boasts 945,000 Instagram followers, showcased the stunning transformation through a captivating reel. It kicked off showcasing the pre-makeover beige walls, units, flooring, and wooden window blinds.
Accompanying overlay text boldly stated: “They said I was crazy for wanting to change this to a pink bathroom.”
The reveal stunned viewers, exhibiting a dazzling white marble floor, chic gold-finished modern shower, complemented by a striking pink feature wall, stylish blind, and a cosy floor mat, alongside a sleek modern wooden unit.
Hannah then asked fans in the post: “Do you think I’m crazy?” It seemed a lot of people didn’t, with the most amassing more than 7,600 likes,. Admiring comments poured in, with one user gushing: “It’s beautiful and I’m so not a pink person.” Another chimed in: “So classy and stylish, you have great taste.”
A third fan concurred, praising: “Love it, it’s a million times better. It’s beautifully done and subtle. I love minimalist clean lines. Sleek and pretty all at the same time.”
Despite receiving numerous compliments, some were unconvinced about the bathroom’s colour scheme, with one individual commenting: “I would have kept a bath tub! Looks nice but not really pink… very subtle.”
Those who are planning to transform their bathroom may want to take notes from one DIY who transformed her space for just £33 after being quoted an eye-watering £7,500 for a bathroom makeover.
