‘World’s Smallest House Party’ to hit cities across the UK
Is this the ‘World’s Smallest House Party’? The new experience, coming to major UK cities, takes the shape of a mini-house just three metres tall, two metres wide, and two metres deep and fits six people.
The house includes a mini-disco, photobooth, mock fireplace, leather armchair and homely décor.
Hard seltzer brand White Claw is behind the experience – with the ‘Worlds Smallest House Party’ set to tour the UK, stopping off at London, Manchester, and Liverpool.
It comes after a poll of 2,000 adults found 35% love a good house party and see it as the ultimate way to catch up with friends.
With the cost-of-living crisis tightening budgets, a third of people say they’re an attractive money-saver while 48% just prefer a more intimate setting.
Sarah, 26 from Croydon got to experience the set-up and said: “I love going to house parties but hate hosting them, they can be such a faff and I’m always worried about my neighbours.
“It was so great when this party turned out to be something completely different. I could actually talk to people and get to know them, without shouting over loud music.
“It felt like so much more of a community, like everyone was there to connect. Honestly it was such a refreshing experience!”
Nearly half of those polled relished being familiar with most guests and feel a house parties offer a ‘cosy and safe’ atmosphere, making conversations easier.
Michael Dean, representing White Claw who orchestrated the poll, commented: “We always knew we were a nation of house party lovers but it’s interesting to see that Brits are now really interested in making connections with others when partying.”
Still, 25% view hosting as too stressful and time-consuming, with 21% believing the social pressure overshadows the enjoyment, making the white claw event a perfect solution.
Dean went on to explain, “After bringing Brits the coolest party-stop corner shop last year, the Claw-ner Shop, this year we’re answering the nation’s prayers and offering another once-in-a-lifetime experience: the World’s Smallest House party.”
The touring house will be passing through London, Manchester and Liverpool through November and December.
