Piers Morgan calls out Luke Littler and vows to confront darts star at Ally Pally | Other | Sport

Ahead of the 2026 World Championship, tournament sponsor Paddy Power launched a campaign in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

The Darts of Destiny campaign is asking members of the public to donate to the charity for the chance to enter the Ally Pally stage during the 2026 World Championship final.

Once on stage, the lucky individual will be given nine darts. And if they score 180 or more, they will win a whopping £180,000.

Morgan, who is a keen darts fan, shared a promotional video to X (formerly Twitter) in support of the campaign after donating £500.

And the broadcaster wrote: “I quite fancy doing this. About time @LukeTheNuke180 came up against Monsoon Morgan.”

Morgan welcomed darts promoter Barry Hearn and his son Eddie Hearn onto Piers Morgan Uncensored in April 2024, with the trio taking to the oche for a darts challenge.

And the presenter explained: “What they don’t know is that I played for the Royal Oak B team – darts legends, as we became – in the village of Newick in East Sussex, where we ended up beating everybody.

“And I was known as ‘Jockey’ Morgan, which I later changed to ‘Monsoon’ Morgan. And there’s a reason – I don’t lose at darts.”

Littler has been drawn to face Lithuanian world No. 95 Darius Labanauskas in his opening match at Ally Pally.

And after watching the draw, the Nuke said: “I’m very happy with it. He’s not the quickest player, but it’s all about getting past that first round. It won’t be easy.

“If there is nerves, I know how to cope with them. Last year, I didn’t have a clue how to cope with them. But this year I know what to expect, the expectations. If nerves come, I’ll know how to deal with it.”

He added: “I’ve won the last three Majors now – now the big one is round the corner. I’m just looking forward to it. Gary Anderson was the last person to go back-to-back, but that was 10 years ago. So that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
