Arsenal are wasting no time in building on the foundations of their Premier League title triumph, with the newly crowned champions already agreeing to 10 player departures ahead of the summer. The summer transfer window has barely been open 24 hours since unlocking on Monday, yet the Gunners are already pressing ahead with their rebuilding plans.
No fewer than eight players had already agreed to leave the Emirates once their contracts expire at the end of this month. However, Mikel Arteta‘s side have also sanctioned two more notable sales that could generate in excess of £20million. Furthermore, two additional deals could materialise in the very near future, bolstering Arsenal‘s war chest as business gets properly underway.
Jakub Kiwior has agreed to join Porto on a permanent basis after spending this season on loan in Portugal. Having helped the Dragons clinch the Primeira Liga title, they’ve opted to sign him on a four-year deal worth £14.7m (plus £4.3m in bonuses).
That deal could roughly cover the £20m Arsenal spent to bring the Pole from Spezia in January 2023. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Karl Hein has agreed a £2.6m switch to Werder Bremen, having also spent this campaign on loan with the German club.
Those are the only two summer deals already confirmed that will bring any revenue into the club so far. However, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson could yet bolster the coffers depending on how events unfold over the coming weeks.
Vieira caught the eye on loan at Hamburg this season, while Nelson spent the campaign on loan at Brentford. Winger Nelson has already headed back to the Emirates after the Bees chose not to trigger his reported £15m permanent fee, though another departure could be on the cards.

Reports suggest Hamburg have also allowed the £19m permanent clause in Vieira’s deal to lapse following his loan spell.
However, that doesn’t necessarily spell the end of negotiations, with speculation mounting that they are attempting to broker a deal at a considerably lower figure.
As for free departures, Arsenal have bid farewell to former academy prospects Josh Nichols, Sam Chapman, Will Lannin-Sweet, Samuel Onyekachukwu, Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko, Harrison Dudziak, Seb Ferdinand and Cam’ron Ismail.
The likes of Ismail, Lannin-Sweet and Dudziak each had loan spells away from north London this season before departing on permanent terms. Ferdinand, 20, was amongst those to train with the first-team squad this campaign but will now seek pastures new.
