Brits told to shop at M&S at exact time to save money | Personal Finance | Finance

Marks & Spencer is one of Britain’s most-loved places for foodies, offering a range of delicious items, from fresh produce and cupboard staples to sweet snacks and more. Now a money saving expert has revealed how Britons can get some cut-price deals when food shopping at M&S — and says it’s all about arriving at the right time.

Jordon Cox, known as The Coupon King, said people should arrive at 9am when the stores open to “get the best deals”. In a new video, the expert said this is because there will be a range of reduced items to choose from. He explained: “Yellow sticker discounts get put out overnight, so if you’re there at the crack of dawn, you’ll get first dibs over all the good stuff.” However, Jordon also revealed there’s another time shoppers should consider.

He said for those looking for discounted sweet treats from M&S bakeries, then arriving later in the day is the best option.

Jordon, who regularly appears on ITV’s This Morning programme to share his money-saving top tips, added: “But if you want cheaper cronuts in the bakery, around 4pm is the time that you want.”

In the description for his new YouTube video, Jordon described the yellow reduced stickers as the “holy grail” at M&S Food.

There are hundreds of M&S Food stores across the UK, with plans to have 420 by April 2028.

The retail giant is increasingly investing in its food business.

Earlier this month, a bigger M&S store on Tottenham Court Road, central London, opened its doors to customers for the first time.

The store is 10,600 square feet and closer to the London Underground station, with the previous store now closed.

It includes an in-store bakery and coffee counter, offering barista-made drinks, and a Fresh Market Specials area with a lineup of seasonal products.

It is one of four new stores M&S is opening in London this financial year, alongside an additional six set to be “transformed”, in a move which the retail giant says will create more than 150 new jobs in total.

The opening at Tottenham Court Road follows the launch of M&S’ new Tooting Broadway food store last month.
