Charles Leclerc’s wife slammed online days after he won British Grand Prix | F1 | Sport
Charles Leclerc’s wife has come under fire from social media users just days after her Formula One husband won the British Grand Prix. It was a welcome return to the top step of the podium for Leclerc, who hadn’t won a race since October 2024 before the recent Silverstone outing.
It was another step in the right direction for Ferrari, who have now won two of the last three Formula One races. Among the high-profile names to witness Leclerc’s latest victory was his wife, Alexandra, who was present at Silverstone for last weekend’s race.
However, in the aftermath of Sunday’s triumph, Leclerc’s partner has been at the centre of a social media storm after claims she asked a fashion brand to send her a dress. Alexandra, whose partner has an estimated net worth over £90million, is said to have messaged a brand saying: “Hi! I was looking at outfits for my upcoming summer trips and I was wondering if you would be interested in sending me this blue set, it’s soooo cuteee.”
The post was shared to TikTok by @sybilsweet with the caption: “When Alexandra Leclerc DM’s you and it takes six girls to think of a reply.”
However, there were some who criticised her actions, saying she ought to have paid for it herself. @formulalyssa wrote on X: “Married to an F1 driver that has a $125M net worth, but asking brands for free clothes.. Alright.”
@feinmhuinin shared: “Working for a large hotel chain that is international answering dms – we get about 10 or more of these kinds of dms a day but asking for free hotel stays and yes, off very famous and large “influencers” so nothing shocks me anymore.”
While @bardibabex added: “This behaviour always confuses me. Like where’s your PR team?”
There were some running to her defence, with @menepucha writing: “What’s wrong in this? You’ll hate on anything.”
@laahlaah2023 responded: “How do you know she wasn’t going to pay for the dress?? Y’all are just running on assumptions. Must you always hate on these celebrities for no reason? The owners of the brand seemed so excited to receive her dm. What’s your business??”
@hctspur chimed in with: “Don’t get why they’re being grilled for saying this. Sure, she doesn’t explicitly ask for the item for free, but she also doesn’t explicitly say that she will pay for it.. so what’s the issue?”
