DWP and HMRC payment dates for State Pension and PIP | Personal Finance | Finance
People expecting a State Pension or benefit payment could be receiving them on a different day this month.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has confirmed certain scheduled payments due on Monday, May 25 will arrive early, while the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is anticipated to adopt a similar adjusted payment schedule. This is due to DWP offices and telephone lines being shut over the bank holiday, with payments typically processed when all services are operational, including webchat and Jobcentre Plus branches.
Payments such as State Pension, Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Child Benefits and Attendance Allowance due on Monday, May 25 will arrive in bank accounts on Friday, May 22.
Below is a comprehensive list of DWP and HMRC payments which may be impacted by the May bank holidays.
We will update this list once DWP has confirmed alterations to scheduled payments, reports the Daily Record.
