Emma Raducanu will be targeting a second Grand Slam title of her career at Wimbledon this summer. The British number one has never advanced past the fourth round of the sport’s most prestigious tournament, but will be optimistic about making a deeper run this time.
Having triumphed at the US Open in 2021, Raducanu is already among the most high-profile figures in the sport. Yet alongside her achievements on court, her personal life has, at times, drawn equally significant interest, having recently reached the final of Queen’s…
Split from billionaire boyfriend
In 2023, Raducanu was claimed to be in a relationship with Carlo Agostinelli, the son of Robert Agostinelli, a business tycoon, co-owner and chairman of private equity firm Rhone Group.
Their connection became public knowledge when they were photographed attending Paris Fashion Week together, but 12 months later the relationship had apparently come to an end.

The Carlos Alcaraz rumours
Raducanu has endured considerable speculation about Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz ever since the pair played together at the US Open in 2025.
Nevertheless, she has consistently maintained that the two are simply very close friends, although Alcaraz’s admission that he was looking for a romantic partner in 2024 fuelled further rumours to the contrary.
“I am looking for someone,” Alcaraz said at the time. “It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are travelling all the time.”
Yet Raducanu brushed aside the speculation.
“It is nice and I think, for all of us, we really value those connections that we had from when we were young,” she said.

“Because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age and because that’s a real genuine connection, because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends – but the ones that you’ve known for a long time mean a lot more to you.
“I remember he beat Stef [Tsitsipas] in the third round and it was like a big win, his breakout win on a big stage and it was really cool to kind of go through that tournament together. We have a good relationship still. He’s obviously overtaken me a lot, but it’s nice we have that from a while ago.”
The ‘terrible’ question
Fellow Brit Cameron Norrie has also been the subject of romantic rumours, though he was quick to shoot down suggestions the pair were an item.
During a Wimbledon press conference, Norrie was asked point-blank whether he was in a relationship with Raducanu. A visibly baffled Norrie, who is in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Louise Jacobi, replied: “Sorry? !”
The reporter then pressed further: “I am trying to find out who is dating Emma Raducanu. It seems to be a question circulating among all the men’s singles… I was wondering if you’re dating her, please?”
A clearly perplexed Norrie then responded: “I’m not, no. You can ask her. I don’t know.”
Responding to the uncomfortable moment, Raducanu chuckled before remarking: “That was terrible, terrible.”
Discussing the persistent rumours surrounding her love life, the 23-year-old continued: “I know, I know. I guess I’m like, it comes with the territory, people being so curious. I think they’re more curious about this news than any tennis results and tennis news.
“But I just keep myself to myself, my private life to one side. It’s always funny when people try to find something out, but I try not to read into it so much.”
