Newly released UFO files ordered by President Donald Trump contain a chilling witness account describing “three and a half to 4 feet tall” aliens wearing “space suits and helmets”. The extraordinary claim was uncovered in an FBI memo included within a bombshell batch of declassified files released by the Trump administration on Friday.
A total of 162 documents, photographs and videos linked to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) were uploaded online, including State Department cables, FBI reports and transcripts from NASA space missions. Among the files was a memo discussing the 1966 book Flying Saucers – Serious Business by UFO author Frank Edwards. The book recounted UFO sightings from across the globe, including incidents in Russia and Scandinavia, and claimed 1965 was “the year of the greatest number of UFO sightings”. According to the memo, witnesses described polished metallic craft radiating intense heat and light that allegedly burned people who got too close.
One of the most startling details referred to humanoid beings described as “three and a half to 4 feet tall” and dressed in “space suits and helmets”.
Edwards reportedly insisted those making the claims were trustworthy figures including police officers, military personnel on official duty, airline pilots and civil defence officials.
The memo also stated that many sightings occurred near “atomic and missile research areas”, fuelling long-running speculation that UFOs have shown an interest in military facilities.
It added that Edwards concluded his book with a prediction that UFOs would one day make an “overt landing” or deliberate contact with Earth.
The release has reignited debate over extraterrestrial life and government secrecy, with several newly published images showing unexplained objects near the Moon and military aircraft.
One operator said: “Now we’ve got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver.”
A second replied: “There’s a whole bunch of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window.”
Another FBI file detailed an interview with a drone pilot who claimed to have seen a mysterious “linear object” in September 2023.
“The object was visible for five to ten seconds and then the light went out and the object vanished,” the unidentified pilot reportedly told investigators.
Trump celebrated the release in a Truth Social post, saying the files related to “alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).”
“GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he added.
