Johnny Marr has confirmed some exciting news for his British fans: He’s heading back to the stage. Former member of The Smiths has announced his biggest-ever solo headline show will take place this October in London. The star, who is best known for such hits as Back to the Old House, Somewhere, How Soon Is Now and plenty more, will be performing at the capital’s Wembley Arena on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

This also marks his first UK gig since 2024; an event which was described as “A night of high energy, atmospheric intensity” and “electro-soul anthems”. As a result, fans are encouraged to get involved as soon as possible. Tickets to the star’s rare show are about to be released. Below, we’ve detailed everything fans need to know.

Johnny Marr tickets will be released on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10am.

These tickets will be available to everyone who wants to purchase them; that means no special access, link, code or anything else is required. What’s more, there are a couple of websites selling tickets to the star’s show. This includes both Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

Johnny Marr most recently released a live album back in September.

The record, ‘Look Out Live!’, was a 22-song album recorded at the Eventim Apollo in London.

This gig was part of the star’s last tour, the Spirit Power Tour, which took place in 2024.

This was also the last time the 62-year-old performed in the UK.
