After the teaser trailer debuted late last year, fans can now watch the full official trailer for the first instalment of the brand new Planet of the Apes trilogy, which premiered during the Super Bowl.
Directed by Wes Ball (Maze Runner), Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is an action-packed science fiction flick set almost 300 years after the explosive events of War for the Planet of the Apes – released back in 2017.
The ape civilisations have prevailed while the human race has regressed into a primitive state, and the peace of both tribes is threatened further by ape leader Proximus Caeser, who seeks to enslave other clans and possess power.
In the new movie, a chimpanzee called Noa and a young woman named Mae embark on a perilous journey to secure the future of mankind and the ape kingdom.
Noa is played by newbie actor Owen Teague, and Freya Allen (The Witcher) stars as Mae, while other top actors include William H Macy, Kevin Durand as Proxiumus Ceaser, and Peter Macon as Raka.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is released in UK cinemas on May 24 2024 and US theatres on May 10, 2024.
