Man Utd and Liverpool games moved as Premier League TV fixtures confirmed | Football | Sport
The Manchester derby has been rearranged for television coverage as the Premier League unveiled September’s broadcast schedule. The fixture will represent the first without Pep Guardiola in a decade, with Michael Carrick and Enzo Maresca going head-to-head. The encounter has been pushed back to Sunday 13 September, instead of Saturday. United have also had fixtures against Ipswich, Everton and Fulham all shifted to the day following their initial scheduling.
City, meanwhile, will take on Crystal Palace on a Friday night at Selhurst Park, though matches against Coventry and Sunderland remain at 3pm on Saturdays. Arsenal and Chelsea have each seen three fixtures rescheduled. The Gunners will tackle Aston Villa on Monday 31 August, and Sunderland at 8pm on 12 September. Mikel Arteta‘s side will lock horns with Chelsea on Sunday 6 September in an early London derby.
The Blues have fixtures against Brighton and Brentford switched, with the former moved to a Sunday, while the latter takes place on a Friday night. However, that could potentially shift to Saturday the 19th evening, subject to either side’s Carabao Cup third-round opponents.
New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has three matches adjusted for television broadcasters. Their opening home fixture of the campaign against Nottingham Forest will be shown at 12.30pm on Saturday 29 August, before they face Ipswich on the Friday evening of the following week.
A significant number of Premier League matches this season will deviate from the customary Saturday slot, with nine clubs competing in Europe in 2026/27.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool feature in the Champions League, while Bournemouth, Sunderland and Crystal Palace have secured Europa League places, and Brighton will enter the Conference League qualifying rounds.
