Michael Mosley: Tourist reveals ‘tragic’ circumstances | World | News
The body discovered in the search for missing TV presenter Michael Mosley was found “so close to shelter” on the Greek island of Symi, a tourist has revealed.
Sindy Seenarine has been coming to the island twice a year for 14 years and says the temperatures it’s seeing at the moment are the “hottest it’s ever been”.
The grim discovery was made in a rugged area next to Agia Marina, following an intensive search effort by emergency services. It’s thought the body may have been there for several days after he went missing on Wednesday.
The body was located by search teams using camera equipment, though no formal identification has been made public.
Speaking to the PA news agency, Seenarine said: “The tragedy is he was so close to shelter, maybe he was desperately trying to get here?

“They called me, they said ‘you know what we saw something from far away can you go and check’ so I went there.”
Earlier in the week, drones were deployed as part of the extensive search and rescue operation on Symi, which is among Greece’s Dodecanese Islands.
Mosley, celebrated for his work on and This Morning, was vacationing with his wife Clare when he went missing.
The extensive search for the 67-year-old, involving the Red Cross, police, firefighters and his own family, tragically led to the discovery.
