M&S ‘no iron’ dress is so ‘lovely’, shoppers want to buy both colours

A brand-new dress to M&S is grabbing shoppers’ attention and selling fast – and it comes in two colours. The Lyocell Blend V-Neck Midi Waisted Dress is currently available from M&S for £45 in the colour yellow or ‘light wedgewood’ blue.

It comes in sizes six to 18 – although some are currently out of stock – and there are petite, regular and tall lengths to choose from. It is crafted from a textured fabric that features a subtle pattern, and one shopper said no ironing is needed.

It is made in a regular fit and cut in a flattering waisted shape, with added stretch for comfort. The V-shaped bodice is designed to look like a peplum top, the site says, while the short puff sleeves and decorative tie-front detailing add ‘elegance’.

As an alternative, Next has this Chocolate Brown Jersey Waisted Summer Dress for £38. It comes in two other colours (cream and olive green), regular and petite fits, and sizes six to 26. The dress is made from a soft fabric with a flattering square neckline, and it has detailing to the waist and side pockets.

Or at New Look, there’s the Light Khaki Drop Waist Sleeveless Midi Dress for £22.49, down from £29.99, and it comes in several colours. It’s available in sizes eight to 18, has a sleeveless shape, and is described as being ‘perfect for casual days’.

One shopper has left a five-star review for the Lyocell Blend V-Neck Midi Waisted Dress from M&S. It reads: “Lovely, easy to wear summer dress. Fabric washes well and no need to iron, which is always a bonus, in my view. It has an under slip attached which I find helps, as some dresses can look see-through.

“Great dress to throw in a suitcase for holidays too. Looks like a two piece but isn’t. It’s true to size as well. I’m thinking of buying the other colour as it’s so great – comes in blue and yellow.”

While there are no other reviews directly on the site, other shoppers have taken to Trustpilot to leave their thoughts on the retailer. One said: “Really good quality clothes. The dress selection is fantastic.”

Another wrote about a different dress: “I’ve just received a petite long-sleeved skater dress, plum colour. I just love it, (and) better still, I got it at a sale price.”

Others left some feedback, saying: “Items were poorly packaged but refund process was nice and simple.” Someone else said: “I unfortunately didn’t receive the summer beauty bag due to it being damaged and by the time I went to re-order it was out of stock, however M&S customer service was very helpful, I received my refund very quickly and even received a £5 gift card!”
