‘My neighbour lets friends park on our lawn so hubby got revenge’
When you’re minding your own business at home, the last thing you want is for your neighbours to suddenly decide your lawn is their parking spot and to start using it as such.
That’s why one woman and her husband were left mortified when their neighbour allowed teenagers to park on their land. Rather than get into an argument with them about it, however, when they went away for the weekend, they decided to block off the area so they wouldn’t be able to put their cars there.
Liv Bee posted a video on TikTok explaining the situation. Over a video of her smirking at the camera because of what her husband was doing, she wrote: “Our neighbour lets her teenage daughter’s friends park in our yard, so my husband put these pots on our property line before we left town to go on a trip.
“We got home today and they had moved them and were parked in our yard again.”
She then explained that rather than go round and start an argument with the neighbour about the teen’s friends, her husband was “preparing his folding chair” and waiting “for them to come out” so he could confront them on his own land.
Liv then continued, writing: “Sweeties, if you’re reading this, be prepared. This man has been in a car with his two kids, his wife, and two dogs for a whole day.
“He’s in rare form, ladies,” as she showed part of the video of him moving the pots back around the cars to get petty revenge.
In the comments, people couldn’t believe that their neighbours were being so rude to them, and allowing visitors to park on their land.
Someone wrote: “Call a tow truck. One company for each car. Don’t pay attention to which one gets which car.”
“They knew they weren’t supposed to be parking there, or they wouldn’t have moved the markers! No accountability is why people pull this s***,” a TikTok user fumed.
Another shared their story about how they got petty revenge on their neighbour, penning: “Had a neighbour behind me continue using my side lot to drive through to his I asked him to stop multiple times and even put signs up for private property no trespassing.
“So I eventually put a board with nails in the ground, which just happened to be in the tracks he drove. I used those nails to help clean the grass and leaves off my rake for lawn maintenance. How was I supposed to know it was gonna get his tires?”
Some called the behaviour of the neighbours “weird” and “entitled,” while some urged Liv and her husband to speak to the neighbours – but it seemed as though that was something that had already been done.
“I said it on a different post today, but I’ll say it again, the level of audacity and entitlement in the world is astronomical,” a woman seethed.
Another added: “Anyone saying that these property owners shouldn’t care about people parking on their grass after asking and putting up things to make it obvious they don’t want people there… are the problem. These same people are teaching their children to be entitled and disrespectful”.
