New Look dress that shoppers say ‘hides bloating’ is now 25% off
New Look shoppers have been full of praise for one of its dresses, declaring it “perfect” for the summer months. The popular high street retailer boasts a range of dresses, but the Frill Sleeve V Neck Midi Dress has captured the attention of many.
Available in five colours and currently reduced by 25%, the dress ordinarily retails at £29.99 but can now be snapped up for just £22.49. Shoppers can choose from black, brown, dark khaki, bright blue and coral, with sizes ranging from six to 18. New Look’s description for the dress reads: “This midi has frill sleeves and elasticated waist that creates a flowing silhouette.
“With a flattering v-neckline this dress is perfect for styling on casual days.” Many customers have been happy with their purchase of the dress. One shopper said: “Flattering dress Sized right Good quality.”
Another added: “I prefer to wear black dresses at home and when socialising. This is such a pretty and flattering dress. The sleeves cover the top of my arms beautifully. Love the button detail. I wear with flats but could be dressed up with accessories and sandals for a night out. This is my go to dress now!”
A third customer, commenting specifically on the black version, commented: “Great dress you can throw on and can hide a lower tummy bloat. Would love if it came in lighter spring colours!”
While a fourth wrote: “Love this dress. The colour is lovely and the material is light. It will nice and cool in the summer.”
Despite the glowing reviews, some shoppers were less than impressed with the dress’s style. One said: “Quite dreary on. Feels like I’m on little house on the prairie…might be nicer with more colours with patters maybe. Had to return.”
Another added: “Look lovely on the model but I sized up and it was still tight in the wrong places and didn’t look as advertised.”
New Look isn’t the only high street retailer offering similar styles. Marks and Spencer stocks the V-Neck Button Through Midi Tea Dress from Finery London in green, navy and cobalt for £49, available in sizes eight to 24 with both petite and regular length options.
Meanwhile, Debenhams carries the V Neckline Button Detail Satin Midi Dress in peach, wine, black and navy, ranging from extra small to extra large, currently on sale at £42, reduced from £56.
